Women's Cross Country wins 3rd NJCAA Championship!

October 2002- PVCC is certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing to offer a Nursing Assistant Program which began this fall in conjunction with Paradise Valley Hospital.

February 2003- Paradise Valley Community College names their Puma mascot: "PAWS" by a vote of students, faculty and staff.

Additional athletic teams and facilities are introduced, culminating with Women’s Fast Pitch Softball Team's First Game – Dr. Gina Kranitz throws out pitch, February 1, 2003. 

Summer 2003- PVCC Child Development Center achieved national accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Dr. Gina Kranitz passes away following a long illness, October 2, 2003. 

Women's Cross Country wins 4th NJCAA Championship!

Dr. Paul Dale is appointed interim president.

PVCC becomes more comprehensive - new occupational programs - EMT and the nursing partnership with John C. Lincoln Health Network-are introduced.

Groundbreaking and Dedication of the Center for the Performing Arts, March 12, 2004.

Men's Cross Country team are the NJCAA National Champions!

Women's Cross Country team wins the NJCAA National Championships! This is their 5th title win!

Dr. Mary Kay Kickels appointed as PVCC’s president, September 1, 2004.

Dedication of the Cindy Shoenhair Soccer Field, October 13, 2004.  Cindy was a PVCC Fitness and Health faculty member who passed away in October 2001.

Citizens pass $951 million bond program.  PVCC receives $72 million dollars for new construction, remodeling and the expansion of PVCC North. 

Higher Learning Commission awards PVCC another 10-year accreditation, March 2, 2005.

PVCC North Black Mountain offers courses in the Carefree/Cave Creek area.

Center for the Performing Arts Opening, October 13, 2005. The new state of the art facility includes theater space with and orchestra pit, seating for up to 300 patrons, as well as an art gallery space in the lobby and music classrooms.

First EMT Graduation ceremony is held for 24 Paramedics. 11-17-06

Ribbon Cutting and Open House is held for the new L Building, January 12, 2007. The 4,500 square foot modular building will house offices, support spaces and skills labs for Nursing, Fire Science/EMT and Athletics programs as well as the Facility Services office.
